Shuffle This!

Okay. I finally gave in and bought an ipod.

Being poor, I got the ipod shuffle. It's only $85 (Canadian!) and holds about 240 songs. That's more songs than I actually have and so this is plenty of memory for me.

The wonderful thing about the shuffle is that it is the size of about 3 chiclets and about that thick. What a wonderful bit of technology. I bought it especially for my trip to the Bahamas. Having a trip song...something to remind me of the place when I am back to my hum-drum life.

My trip to Miami will forever be associated with Sade's, "this is no ordinary love..." purely by coincidence. My last trip to the Bahamas in the 80's is tied to Chris De Burgh's "lady in red." "Lady in red" was playing as I drove around in a mini bus for a few hours taking in the sights. And our trip to Philadelphia this summer we all had Michael McDonald's"takin' it to the streets" embedded in our brains.

So, what will be my song for the Bahamas trip?...I'm pretty sure it will be a song from the Swades soundtrack. Even if you're not a packy, you will love, no, strike that, enjoy (just enjoy) this movie.
